Our Story

We met online, at time in our lives that we were ready to take on the world with the love of our life by our side.  We are both world travelers, and our earliest conversations were about where we have been and sharing stories of our adventures.  In the beginning, our dates included spicy international foods, strolling through Japanese gardens, and a long weekend exploring Eureka Springs.  At the time we met, I was still raising puppies, and had 6 yorkies in the house! I knew he was the one when he didn't run upon learning this!!  Instead, he worked to introduce his two boarder collies to the little ones, which allowed us to quickly and seamlessly merge our paw-families together.  To this day, my youngest, Phoebe, and his biggest, Blu, are inseparable best friends!  During our time together, we have shared our love of dogs, hiking, camping, golfing, diving, traveling, conservation, and photography.

The Engagement

We truly went down the rabbit hole! Tyler proposed the morning of my 40th birthday party, which was an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter's tea party themed event held in Atlanta, Georgia.  I woke that morning in my lovely silk pajamas, an early birthday gift from Tyler, to breakfast in bed with mimosas.  He prepared two trays with cloche servers.  Under the first cloche were two bowls of fruit, which we ate as I shared details of the previous night I had with my friends.  We then moved on to the second tray, which when Tyler lifted the cloche, a ring box was unveiled.  He to ask me if I would do life together with him for the rest of our lives. And the rest is history...
